This year’s annual World Women’s Snooker Day will take place during the World Snooker Championship on Tuesday 29 April 2025.
Activities will be organised at the Cue Zone situated at the Sheffield Winter Garden with the aim of raising awareness of the World Women’s Snooker Tour and the opportunities available for women to pick up a cue and play our sport competitively at all levels.
The day will celebrate 10 years since the World Women’s Snooker Tour (WWS) became an official subsidiary company and receive the backing of snooker’s world governing body the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).
During the past decade women’s snooker has since developed into a truly international global tour for the first time and has become an established qualifying pathway to the professional World Snooker Tour (WST).
With events held in Europe, America, Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions, the Tour provides inspirational opportunities and continues to promote inclusivity for women and girls of all age groups, experience and levels of ability.
The day will be coordinated by both WST and WWS, with WPBSA Snooker Coaches Mark Peevers and our current world seniors champion Tessa Davidson, joined by selected tour players to help promote women’s snooker during the BBC’s Crucible coverage.
GET INVOLVED
As in previous years, players and supporters of women’s snooker are encouraged to support the day and to help promote the sport to women and girls everywhere, whether in Sheffield on the day, or online via social media using the #WomensSnooker hashtag.
