Tournament information for this weekend’s WineCellars.com US Open is now available:

The opening ranking event of the 2024/25 World Women’s Snooker (WWS) Tour gets underway this Friday at Ox Billiards in Seattle with live streaming to be available via the Ox Billiards Facebook page, and YouTube/Twitch channels.

The third staging of the event will once again see the tournament return to the United States with a blockbuster field which is set to feature three of the world’s top four ranked players, with no fewer than eight nationalities represented in all.

World number one Mink Nutcharut will be aiming to defend the title that she won for the first time 12 months ago, with last season’s runner-up Ng On Yee and 2022 finalist Rebecca Kenna also hoping to lift the unique trophy generously donated by Canada’s David Burney.

Reigning World Women’s Seniors champion Tessa Davidson will be making her first appearance in the event as she looks to consolidate her top 10 ranking, while Anupama Ramachandran of India and Mongolia’s Narantuya Bayarsaikhan will also make their stateside bow.

There will be three debutants from the United States as Molina Ortiz, Caroline Purcell and Kara Cox – who will travel from Louisiana – will also join the field.

In addition to the main tournament, there will be a Seniors tournament and Challenge Cup (for p;ayers who do not reach the quarter-finals).

This weekend’s format will be as follows:

  • The players have been drawn in three groups (2×5 players, 1×4 players)
