England’s Laura Killington joined the circuit in 2019 at the age of 11 and reached the last 16 stage of a world ranking event for the first time at the 2023 Eden Women’s Masters.
The youngster defeated Shabnam Younus-Jewell and Gillian Hayes to progress through her round-robin group stage, before losing out to eventual finalist Jamie Hunter in the knockout rounds.
She would repeat the feat at the 2025 British Open, victories against elder sister Zoe and Lesley Roberts, combined with a strong performance against world number five Rebecca Kenna enough to see her progress to the knockout rounds. Drawn against fellow junior Daisy May Oliver in the last 32, a 3-1 win was enough to see her through to the last 16, where her run was ended by eventual champion Ng On Yee.
She had previously reached the preliminary knockout round at both the 2022 UK Championship and 2023 Belgian Open, losing out to Tessa Davidson and Kate Le Gallez respectively.
In junior competitions, Killington has reached six semi-finals to date – four coming at the UK Championship in Leeds from 2021-2024.
