Tournament information for the Landywood British Open is now available:
The 2023/24 World Women’s Snooker (WWS) Tour concludes this weekend as the final ranking event of the campaign is played at the Landywood Snooker Club from 24-26 May 2024.
Won last season by China’s Bai Yulu, the competition will see a strong field of 46 players in all contest the British Open titles, which include three side-tournaments and ensure a competitive weekend of snooker to end the season.
Many of the sport’s star names will be present including world number one Mink Nutcharut, six-time British Open champion Reanne Evans, three-time world champion Ng On Yee and 2023 world champion Baipat Siripaporn.
Former professional Rebecca Kenna, Eden Masters champion Mary Talbot and recent EPSB Winchester Women’s Open champion Tessa Davidson will also be in action from the world’s top 10.
Alongside the main competition, there will also be Under-21 and Seniors side-tournaments staged, as well as a Challenge Cup competition, for players already knocked out of the main competition prior to the last 16.
The format will be as follows:
Group matches will be played over the best of three frames, knockout rounds to be 5/5/7/7. If necessary the preliminary round matches may be shortened to 3 frames
The format for all side-tournaments will be straight knockout.
