The 2023 British Women’s Open is now open for entry and is set to run from 13-14 May at the Landywood Snooker Club, Walsall, England.
The event will be the ninth and final ranking event of the 2022/23 season and the first to be held at the fully refurbished Landywood Snooker Club in the West Midlands of England since the 2005 UK Championship.
The tournament is set to welcome the world’s best women players including six-time British Open winner Reanne Evans, defending champion Mink Nutcharut and three-time world champion Ng On Yee among a world class field.
Alongside the main competition, there will also be side-tournaments played for our Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40s) players, with a Challenge Cup on the Sunday to guarantee play for all players on both days.
There will once again be free entry to the main competition for any first-time WWS player, or any player who has not played in a WWS event for over 10 years.
The Landywood Snooker Club is a member of the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) 147 Club and has 12 full-size snooker tables, including four Xing Pai tables and four Riley Aristocrat tables. WWS would like to thank the club and in particular owner Paul Lloyd for their support of women’s snooker and the Tour.
The event will also be preceded by the staging of the English Women’s Championship, which will be run by the EPSB on 12 May 2023.
