Tournament information for the Belgian Women’s Open is now available:
The first World Women’s Snooker (WWS) Tour ranking tournament of 2024 is all set to run this weekend at the fabulous Trickshot Snooker Club in the historic city of Bruges.
Won last year for the first time by Mink Nutcharut, the event will once again welcome the world’s leading female players to the city of Bruges and the Trickshot venue that has hosted us since 2019.
Among those set to compete are former champions Reanne Evans and Ng On Yee, as well as home favourite Wendy Jans, who last year reached the final.
Alongside the main competition, there will also be a Seniors side-tournament staged for players aged over 40, as well as a Challenge Cup competition, for players already knocked out of the main competition prior to the quarter-finals.
The format will be as follows:
Group matches will be played over the best of three frames, knockout rounds to be 5/5/5/7/7. If necessary the preliminary round matches may be shortened to 3 frames
The format for all side-tournaments will be straight knockout.
