Ng On Yee is into the last 64 of the 2025 World Snooker Federation (WSF) Championship in Saïdia, Morocco after defeating Léon Alewijnse 4-0 in the opening knockout round this morning.

A break of 60 helped the three-time World Women’s Snooker champion to a whitewash victory which saw her become the first female player to win a knockout match in the WSF Championship.

Ng, who is competing in the biggest event in amateur snooker for the second time, will now face England’s Alex Millington in the last 64 this evening at 8pm local time (GMT +1).

She had earlier defeated Morocco’s Youssef Drissi (3-0) and England’s Callum Beresford (3-2) to qualify from the group stages – wrapping up the victory over Beresford with an excellent break of 102 in the decider. As a result, Ng became the fifth female player to qualify from the group stages following Reanne Evans (2018), Rebecca Kenna (2022), Baipat Siripaporn (2023) and Narantuya Bayarsaikhan last year.

The cueist from Hong Kong China also reached the semi-finals of the WSF Women’s Championship last week at the same venue before losing out to reigning world champion Bai Yulu, who was subsequently defeated 4-3 by Mink Nutcharut in the title match.

The WSF champion will be crowned on Saturday 1 February with the winner earning a two-year World Snooker Tour (WST) card. Follow via WPBSA SnookerScores.
