Elite Sports Management to Sponsor WWS Seniors Award
World Women’s Snooker (WWS) is pleased to announce that Elite Sports Management (ESM) will sponsor a new Seniors award on the WWS Tour this season.
Founded by Bobby Lee, ESM is a management agency that can count a number of leading World Snooker Tour players among its clients including four-time world champion Mark Selby and 2015 world champion Stuart Bingham, as well as ranking event winners Barry Hawkins, Jimmy Robertson and David Gilbert. ESM also looks after Chinese youngsters Liu Hong Yu and recent WSF Championship winner Ma Hai Long.

As it looks to increase its involvement within snooker, ESM will fund a special trophy to be presented to the highest ranked player on the WWS Seniors ranking list at the end of the current season. The award will complement that trophy, which will be presented to the leading player on the Under-21 rankings in May.
It is already confirmed that this season’s Seniors number one will be England’s Tessa Davidson, who has won an impressive six over-40s titles since her return to the WWS Tour – including the 2022 World Women’s Seniors Championship – and now cannot be caught following the upcoming British Open.

“Since the creation of the WWS Seniors rankings in September 2019, we have seen incredible growth in this sector, with a record 42 Seniors players currently on the ranking list.
“Congratulations to Tessa, who will finish the season as our number one for the second consecutive year and remains a fantastic role model for women players everywhere.”
