British Women’s Open to be held at Landywood Snooker Club
World Women’s Snooker (WWS) has announced that this season’s British Women’s Open will be held at the Landywood Snooker Club from 13-14 May 2023.

The prestigious event is set to be the ninth and final ranking tournament of the 2022/23 Tour season and will see the world’s best women players contest the title last won by Mink Nutcharut earlier this year.
With a rich history dating back to its first edition in 1983, the British Open has been held on 26 occasions in all, with only the World and UK Championship tournaments staged more often. World number one Reanne Evans leads the way with six titles, most recently in 2018 when she defeated Nutcharut to claim the title.
The tournament will mark the first on the WWS Tour to be held at the Landywood Snooker Club (approximately 20 miles from Birmingham), a venue which has undergone significant refurbishment over the past 18 months and is a member of the 147 Club affiliation scheme operated by the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB).
Boasting four XingPai tables and 12 tables in all, the venue is already set to host several major events this season including the WPBSA Q Tour, English Amateur Tour and the World Disability Billiards and Snooker Champion of Champions.

EPSB Women’s Open
Prior to the start of the tournament, Friday 12 May will also see the staging of the 2023 English Women’s Snooker Championship, organised by the EPSB.
Won in 2022 by England’s Rebecca Kenna, the one-day tournament will be open to players from England only (the British Open will be open to all nationalities) with the winner to become national champion.
