Have you been inspired to join the World Women’s Snooker Tour (WWS) by our fantastic four Reanne Evans, Ng On Yee, Mink Nutcharut and Rebecca Kenna in action at this weekend’s BetVictor World Mixed Doubles?
It has never been easier for women and girls to pick up a cue and take part in our sport and below you can find a number of helpful links to information that will help you on your snooker journey!
So you want to play snooker for the first time, but where can you do it?
A fantastic starting point is the official WPBSA Find a Club page, an expanding database of over 1,500 snooker facilities around the world. In England, this includes members of The 147 Club, a club affiliation scheme which requires clubs to meet set criteria with the aim of improving the club environment for all.
Alongside a club, you may also wish to access coaching to help improve your game and the perfect place to start is the WPBSA Find a Coach page, which will enable you to find your nearest qualified coach by snooker’s world governing body.
The WWS Tour represents a series of inclusive events, open to women and girls of all ages, nationalities and levels of experience.
Events are regularly held around the globe, with over 170 players from 29 countries now included on the official world ranking list. Alongside the main competition, side-tournaments are also held for Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40) players to provide additional playing time for these groups.
