World Rankings – Taom UK Championship 2022
The official world women’s rankings have been updated for the first time this season after Reanne Evans defeated Ng On Yee to win the Taom UK Women’s Snooker Championship for the 11th time last weekend.

The WWS world rankings operate on a rolling two-year basis (excluding the 2020/21 season which did not take place). At this revision no points have been removed and those earned at the 2022 UK Championship have been added.
Evans Extends Lead… for now
Reanne Evans has extended her advantage at the top of the world ranking list following her 11th UK Championship success. Having entered the tournament with a 7,812 point lead over second placed Ng On Yee, victory sees her lead grow to 10,062, with no points removed at this cut-off.
However, the gap is set to close following next month’s US Women’s Open, when the points from the 2019 UK Championship are due to expire from the ranking list.
With Evans having claimed a maximum 7,500 points at that event, which closest chasers Ng and Nutcharut Wongharuthai did not compete in, the trio are set to be closely matched heading to the final three events of the calendar year.
The Chasing Pack
With no points having been deducted at this cut-off, the ranking list has remained relatively stable, with no changes inside of the top nine.
England’s Steph Daughtery is the first mover as she leapfrogs Wendy Jans to reclaim a place inside of the world’s top 10 following her last 16 run.
Behind her in the top 20, both Jamie Hunter and Chucky Preston rise two places each to 12th and 15th positions respectively, while Ho Yee Ki of Hong Kong climbs four places to 16th after she reached her fourth ranking event quarter-final in Leeds.
Elsewhere, Tessa Davidson (24) and Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan (26) are up three and four places respectively, while Louise Burton (33), Nat Howard (34), Jasmine Bolsover (35), Maureen Rowland (42) and Laura Killington (43) are also among those to have gained ground.
The Tour is up to 170 players with four newcomers having joined the circuit at the event, Ukraine’s Tetyana Volovelska the highest new entry in 128th position.
Under-21 / Seniors
There is a new leader in the Under-21 Rankings sponsored by the Q House Snooker Academy, with Ploychompoo Laokiatphong having taken top spot from the outgoing Steph Daughtery, who turned 21 over the summer.
Having now claimed the past three junior titles, including the world title back in February, Laokiatphong has established a dominant lead at the top of the rankings, some 17,575 points ahead of second placed Zoe Killington.
Laura Killington climbs two places to a new best position of fourth, while first-time finalist Chloe Payne vaults five places up the list to number six having joined the circuit back in January.
In the Seniors rankings, Tessa Davidson has strengthened her position at the top of the tree following her fourth consecutive victory in the series at the UK Championship.
Now up to 35 players since its creation in September 2019, the Women’s Seniors circuit continues to grow, with Louise Leskevicius and Diana Schuler the latest additions following their appearances in Leeds.
