UK Women’s Snooker Championship 2022 | Enter Now
Entry is now open for the 2022 UK Women’s Snooker Championship which is set to return to the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, England from 30-31 July.
The tournament will mark the first event of the 2022/23 World Women’s Snooker Tour and the 34th staging of the UK Championship, more than any other single event outside of the World Championship.
World number one and defending champion Reanne Evans is set to lead a strong field as she bids to claim a record-extending 11th UK crown and what would be her third in a row.
Among those looking to deny her will be newly-crowned world champion Nutcharut Wongharuthai – a semi-finalist on her only previous appearance in the competition back in 2018 – while four-time UK champion Ng On Yee is unbeaten in the event since 2016.
Remarkably, England’s Tessa Davidson is a third player who could return to the competition on an unbeaten streak, having not competed in the UK Championship since her third title triumph some 24 years ago, but made her Tour return at the British Open earlier this year.
More recently, world number four Rebecca Kenna is a two-time finalist at the event (2018 and 2021), with 2012 champion Maria Catalano having also reached the title match most recently in 2019.
As in previous seasons, there will also be side-tournaments held for Under-21 and Seniors (Over-40) players, with a Challenge Cup on the Sunday open to any player who has not qualified for the last 16 stage of the main competition.
There will again be FREE entry to the main competition for any first-time WWS player, or any player who has not played in a WWS event for over 10 years. When entering, please do not make payment and your entry will be marked as paid on the online system.
The event will once again take place at the Northern Snooker Centre, home of the UK Championship since 2015 and a 147 Club member of the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards.
The closing date for entries is 4:30pm BST on Friday 22 July 2022.
How to Enter
All entries must be received through WPBSA SnookerScores by completing the following steps:
- Register an account / Log In to WPBSA SnookerScores
- Select an event from the WWS organisation page or from the ‘My Player’ section of your account and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Pay your entry fee from your ‘My Payments’ tab.
Your entry will only be formally accepted upon receipt of your online entry AND payment of your entry fee by the event entry deadline.
The closing date for entry/payment of entry fees is 4:30pm BST, Friday 22 July 2022.
