Just four players remain at the 2022 World Women’s Snooker Championship in Sheffield, with a new winner to be crowned on Monday night.

There were two surprise results in the quarter-finals on Sunday as 12-time and reigning champion Reanne Evans was beaten 4-1 by Belgium’s Wendy Jans, while second seed Ng On Yee lost 4-3 to Thailand’s Nutcharut Wongharuthai.

In the semi-finals (starting 11am on Monday), Jans will meet England’s Jamie Hunter, a transgender player who has won two events on the English Women’s Snooker Tour this season. Wongharuthai will be up against England’s Rebecca Kenna, a clash between players ranked third and fourth in the world. None of the four remaining players have lifted the trophy before.
